i’m candace. customer success manager for enterprise tourism and outdoor brands by day; introvert who goes outside on purpose the rest of the time.
i split my time between idaho/montana, nevada/arizona, and the long beach peninsula in washington state. the common thread is that none of those places have a lot of meetings.
i have a medical chart that reads like a plot twist — vasculitis, hashimoto’s, anemia, and a subglottic stenosis that keeps things interesting. i see doctors at mayo clinic and take the whole thing about as seriously as it deserves, which is: seriously, but without drama.
this site is my notebook. essays, field notes from hikes and paddles and bike rides, gear that actually earned its place, books i’m reading, shows i’m watching, and whatever else survives my attention span long enough to get written down. my husband and our dog are frequent supporting characters.
i turn 40 this year. i have no particular feelings about this that i’m willing to share yet.
